MEDICAL PODCAST
Wednesday 26th February
What about today?One of the messages that this blog wants to communicate is how much food is a powerful resource that we have at our disposal to lead a strong, healthy life and prevent any diseases.
There are many diets depending on the cases and geographical areas, there are trendy diets and scientific diets that can cure people.
Over the course of our blog we will analyze some of these diets through the voice of medical experts in the field, this will allow us to discover in detail the power of food.
Today through a conference Dr. Mark Hyman doctor and founder of the UltraWellness Center. Dr. Hyman we can better understand the power of food and its functionality.
Often our mind and body suffer because we focus on the symptom and not on the SYSTEM, we focus on the organ and not on total body, this is a crucial point.
We will have to have a more holistic view of our body and Functional Medicine is an example in this sense as it considers our body as a complex entity and researches the underlying problems to regain health and well-being.
In this video, Dr. Mark Hyman explains how Functional Medicine linked to gene expression, food and the social sphere affects our overall health.

It's time to weekend!
Today I would like to share with you an interview on mental health prepared by two functional medicine doctors who will support us in different ways on this blog.
The Doctor's Farmacy is a regular meeting for Dr.Hyman and in this case an enhanced approach to supporting the brain, starting with food.
Dr.Perlmutter is a certified neurologist and holds different roles and is the author of several books on mental health; Dr. Perlmutter's new book, #Brain Wash, co-written with #Austin Perlmutter, MD, will be published in January 2020.
Every time we eat, we have a chance to increase our brain function.
The decisions we make every day, like what we eat, how much we sleep and how many times we move are all potential elements to change brain health.

The power of integration (A,B,C,D... it's not the alphabet is health)
In a healthy diet, proper integration and fundamental importance.
Each supplement performs important functions for our body and contributes to the conduct of different processes.
In past times it was believed that the use of supplements was not necessary, but in recent times science and functional medicine have widely demonstrated their effectiveness in terms of health and prevention.
This is a very broad topic as the powers of individual supplements are really much, but don't worry about Saturday is the day dedicated to this topic, we can call it Integration Day!
Today we talk about Vitamin D and to do so, I show you a short video in which the most in-aneced voices of an English hospital highlight its potential benefits.
Could Vitamin D be the miracle supplement? Brigham and Womens Hospital research indicates that Vitamin D may help defeat asthma in children, hip fractures in adults and maybe a whole lot more.

Today in our Blog we talk about VITAMINA C, here are some useful tips:
Many believe that vitamin C is something that is derived from orange juice, a glass of juice and I have reached my daily dose and instead not.
- High-dose Vitamin C is one of the best and broadest antibiotics for humans;
- It is a very powerful antioxidant, fundamental for the synthesis of collagen and some neurotransmitters;
- Historically high doses of vitamin C have been used to treat states of malaria, poisoning and polio;
- The toxins to which we are daily exposed even the deadly ones from insects, fish and snakes are perfectly manageable with high doses of vitamin C
In this sense if it is a theme you want to delve into you can read the book of Dr. Thomas E. Levy certified American cardiologist, author of several books on the subject.
Through the testimony of his own direct experience, the author proposes an accurate account of the importance of vitamin C for our health.
Vitamin C is free of side effects and among the safest supplements available today!

Stop, relax, take a breath and continue to breathe deeply!
This is a respiratory practice that can be performed at any time.
Inhale in 5 seconds and exhale in 5 seconds; Why?
Allow the vagus nerve to exercise its actions of regulation of our organic, psychological, psychophysical defense systems and give us a feeling of well-being;
The action of the vagus nerve, in addition to slowing down the heartbeat, has an anti-inflammatory action on the immune system;
The vagus nerve is essential for detecting an ongoing inflammation, in fact it sends signals to sedate / control / regulate it.
